Growing up in a musical family, Wayra picked up the brazilian drum, the Berimbau, at the age of 2 and got involved with the acoustic guitar at age of 9. Influenced by brazilian music like Samba, Bossanova and Jazz and Funk on the other hand the talented left-handed boy taught himself unique techniques (as he just flips the guitar upside down)
His unique guitar style and gentle, colorful voice radiates on this first release performing only original compositions.
Recorded in Munich January 2012 for chriscontrol records, who got acquainted with Wayra through Yasin Akgün, his first Album is one of the strongest, deeply emotional, and refreshing groovy solo performances of a young evolving artist from Brasil.
